Board of Directors & Members

Board of Directors

CIES (Covenant Information Empowerment Services) has a structure of operation that comprises the executives. They are: Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Think Tank members and lastly operational members. The members in this structure are positioned to oversee the functionality, appropriateness of programmes and general performances of the organisation. The structure comprises of six advisory board members, three board of directors, Ten Think Tank members, one Think Tank Advisor and six operational members inclusive of the executive director of the organization who doubles as the secretary to the board.

Governing board in addition to all the stated roles of advisory board members will fundamentally oversee the following:

  • The sustainability of the organization’s objectives,
  • Overall accountability and fund usability,
  • Programme approval versus budget plans,
  • Yearly financial plans,
  • Advising and having input in fund sourcing for project execution,
  • Assessing and evaluating the visibility and viability of organization’s prospective projects and assets

Apostle Ademola Atilola

Chairman

Apostle Ademola is the Chairman of CIES Inc, Canada. He obtained B. Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1988 and later had M.Sc. in Agronomy (Soil Science Option) from the same University in the year 1990.

Ademola has well over 33years of working experience that cuts across various establishments ranging from Government to banking, business corporations and clergy.

In 1997 he was called into ministry and after pastoring for over 20 years, he was commissioned into Apostolic ministry under Global Apostolic Intercessory Network Missions to Nations.
This mission has taken him to several nations inclusive of Canada where he is based presently.

He is a dynamic lover of youths and has been part of various youths and students’ programs both in the ministry and various schools and youths’ programs back home in Nigeria. He believes in the world of the youths and an advocate of pragmatic approach by adults in helping youths navigate their world. His philosophy is that adults should be trained, informed, and be involved in the youths’ world so we can be knowledgeable enough to relate with them.

Dr. Samuel Paul

Member

Dr. Paul is a registered Professional Engineer in Canada and earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, in 2007. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Manitoba, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is currently into consulting and conducting independent and collaborative research. With over 35 technical publications in prestigious Engineering Journals, his research interests cover computational and experimental turbulent flows around bluff bodies, turbulent flow over smooth and rough surfaces, and renewable energy with a special focus on wind and solar energy potential several developing countries.

Dr. Paul has been the Senior Pastor at the Deeper Life Bible Church Winnipeg since 2002. He is experienced in both campus and youth ministry. He is passionate about proclaiming the gospel, overseeing various aspects of church life, organizing worship services, and administering biblical counseling.

Elder Peter Vasco

Member

Elder Peter Vasco was born in Oshawa Ont in a Slovak Family, whose Parents Andrew & Mary Vasko immigrated to Canada from Czechoslovakia in 1930. We were a family of 7 children, 5 Sister & 1 Brother.

From my early days growing up we were always involved in our cultural community and a dedicated Catholic Family incredibly involved in Church Life. I was saved in the Charismatic movement that came through the Catholic Church in the 1970 — 1980’s. The evening of May 23rd, 1983, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord & Saviour. Shortly after that time we moved to Immanuel Pentecostal Church. We presently Fellowship at Church of the Rock here in Winnipeg. I am Married to Sarah and we have 3 Sons and 5 Grand Children.

Most of my business life has been spent in the world of Real Estate. I have been a registered Realtor through the Manitoba Securities Real Estate Division for almost 40 Years. I love the Industry because it puts me in the largest untapped Ministry in the World – The Market Place. My career puts me in the life of people and their families when they are making one the most if not the largest financial decision people have to make, the purchase of a Home.

It allows me to give them guidance every step of the way. I have sold large properties for the building of places of Worship, which is always a great Joy. It is also special to have one of my sons in the Real Estate Business. Love going to work every day.


Advisory Board Members

The primary goal of a member of advisory board is to intentionally have the interest of the youngsters at heart which is expected to be inspirational to make all members:

  • Serve as advisors who will deliver expertise to our practices.
  • Provide with varied ideas connected to youths’ population so that we can serve them with information that would enhance their potential and self-image
  • Give guidance, operation insight, that will make the organisation exist and expand to help the communities of youths in the provinces
  • Guide towards opportunities, taking advantage of opportunities, and weathering challenges in helping the youth.
  • Help in filling gap knowledge, so the organisation will not serve with knowledge and adequate information.
  • As an immigrant and non-immigrant youths’ service provider, the organisation will ride on advisory board members’ knowledge of the community and their understanding of the demography in terms of boundaries, pitfalls, obstacles that can hamper effectiveness and strategies if not handled well.
  • Help and guide in exploration and advancement in transacting with the population of youngsters.
  • Guide in decision-making and mode of operation
  • Serve as organization’s resource network wherever and whenever in doubt.

Dr. Isaac O. Daniel

Dr. Isaac O. Daniel worked for 20 years as a professor, teaching and doing research in agricultural science. He relocated to Winnipeg, Canada in 2015 with his wife – Adebimpe Daniel and their two teenage children back then. He had a sabbatical position as a visiting researcher at the Department of Plant Science, University of Manitoba in 2015 and became a professional agrologist (P.Ag.) in 2017. Besides, being a P.Ag., Prof. Daniel has been involved in ministry to youths and young adults. He is a volunteer Discovery Time™ class teacher in a number of Manitoba high schools with the Child Evangelism Fellowship, Manitoba. He’s been a campus fellowship pastor since 2017.

Heather Heclec

Heather is currently an Academic Advisor at Red River College, and has over 27 years’ experience advising, coaching, and counselling students in the post-secondary environment.  She practices a holistic approach to advising, and empowers youth by cultivating self-esteem, confidence and knowledge, achieved through mentorship and a positive educational experience.  Her goal is to connect with students, to motivate them to reach beyond what they believe is possible, and to create opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Heather earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree at the University of Manitoba. She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), and the Manitoba Advising Professionals (MAP).  She has attended numerous conferences, workshops and seminars with other advising professionals across Canada and the US.

Heather is happily married, and the proud mother/step-mother to four wonderful young adults.

Omokorede Fasoro

Omokorede is Quantity Surveyor by training but at present pursues her passion as a trainer, write and speaker. She is an ILO certified trainer and an intentional personal discovery coach. She has close to 20 years’ experience as a professional trainer in various capacities and at different levels, most especially in the areas of personal discovery, self-development, soft skills and entrepreneurship.

She holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying, a MSc in Media and Communication from the Pan Atlantic University in Lagos Nigeria, and a PGCE (international) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She is an ILO (International Labor Organization) certified trainer in the Gender and Enterprise Development (GET Ahead) and Financial Education and has also been trained by the ILO in the SIYB and EYB training modules. She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Managers (CIPM).

She is the Executive Director- Admin of Hallmark Secondary School, Ondo (a family-owned group of schools) and coordinator of the Ideal Hallmark training centre. About 8 years ago, she founded a Non-Governmental Organization named the Women of Essence Foundation- a nonfor-profit organization. This Foundation was birthed out of her personal experience in the search for purpose and relevance. The organization has the mission to help women discover, pursue, and fulfil their God ordained purpose and does through the provision of training, counselling, mentoring and empowerment programmes which has been a blessing to many women. They also have various initiatives and outreaches to Women in Prison, Indigent women, widows, and young ladies. Omokorede also volunteers in various organizations including NNEW (NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women) where until recently she served as Vice-Chairperson and Head of the Training Academy of the Lagos Chapter.

As an author, she has self-published 6 books to date which includes her recently released book-

Personal Discovery for Women. Omokorede is an ordained Assistant Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where she and her husband have been serving for over 20 years. She is happily married to her husband of 26 years- Pastor Ayotunde Fasoro (FCA) and they are blessed with glorious children.

Ms. Omo-Osagie Antoinette

Ms. Omo-Osagie Antoinette worked in the Nigeria Educational Research Council (now NERDC) as a Senior Research Officer (Curriculum Materials in Social Sciences) for 5 years.

She was the pioneer Headmistress in Corona School, Agbara, later the Principal of Corona Secondary School, Agbara, for a total of 8 years. She is also the Pioneer Principal of Christ The Redeemer’s College, ChristHill, Sagamu in Ogun State since 1996 to date.

Ms. Antoinette Omo-Osagie is a seasoned educationist with over 22 years of teaching, and school management experience. In addition to her role as pioneer Head of School with The Redeemed Christian Church of God, she is a member of CRSM working committee (Managers of all RCCG Schools) Ms. Omo-Osagie’s expertise is deployed in curriculum planning, development and implementation, a subject she has in depth knowledge and passion for.

She has facilitated training sessions and motivational talks for teachers, Heads of Schools, Students and Parents in schools spread around the country, focusing on School Pioneering, Management, Learning/ Leadership, Classroom Management, Effective Teaching Methods, Student Mentoring, and Curriculum Development/Integration.

Another area of her involvement is in the area of good Parenting. Ms. Omo-Osagie is a strong advocate of not just good Parenting, but godly Parenting. She has a regular column on Parenting in a few magazines.

She is a graduate of University of Illinois, URBANA –Champaign, USA (M.ED, Curriculum Development; B.A. Teaching of Social Studies).

Mr. Enoch Olaoye

Enoch Olaoye is the CEO of Imavate Solutions Limited. An enterprise software development organization that specializes in business process automation.

Enoch is a graduate of Computer Engineering, University of Lagos and has a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos.

He has a diverse work experience including computer hardware sales and maintenance, IT consulting, banking, software development and telecommunications at top tier organizations and as an entrepreneur.

Enoch has a vested interest in education. He has written many papers and speaks at various educational conferences.

A subsidiary of his company, Imavate Education which started in 2012 is currently into education performance research and analysis which helps primary and secondary schools to improve student academic performance. His side interests include law, philosophy, and psychology.
